Mason’s Apple Wine

It’s not often one can involve children in the process of making alcohol. This fall we are trying our hand at apple wine. Shown here is my Nephew Mason at the helm of an apple press designed by our good friend Buffalo. Mason’s farm is on an old apple orchard in Almena Wisconsin and was one of the few places in the state with a bumper crop of Apples this year. It’s great fun to make cider in a group and we’ll be featuring an episode about orchards and cider making later this fall.
